The H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Award For Excellence

Reshma Albert of Grade 12 at the Our Own Indian School, Dubai, was indeed the proud recipient of this very prestigious award this year. Through this annual award, every year GEMS Education recognizes the achievements of one very exceptional young lady in GEMS Schools, across the Middle East and now, in India. This award is presented for the students who have outstanding academic performance, commitment to the environment and world citizenship. This award is inspired by the dedication of H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, who has demonstrated her ardent and longtime support for women’s achievements.

The award ceremony was held on 27th April, 2011 at Dubai Modern High School, Dubai, under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Higher Education.  A workshop was also conducted on the 25 April, 2011 at GEMS World Academy where the winners of the award for the year 2011 assembled together for group interactions.

There was, also, an inspiring speech made by the Principal of The Winchester School, Dubai.
