Kindergarten
During these formative years, children are initiated into the world of learning in school life via a friendly and stimulating atmosphere. During these early years communication and numerical skills are developed through the use of colour and music to make learning an enjoyable experience.
Significant emphasis is placed on providing individual attention to develop each child's potential and thus help the students gain confidence in their abilities and explore new areas of learning.

The Primary and Middle School
Grades 1 to 8
The Primary and Middle School years build a foundation where we help to instil the right values and develop a strong sense of responsibility and ethics in all our students. This is enhanced by a strong emphasis on creative thinking, innovative problem-solving, and independent expression.
GEMS Our Own Indian School offers a syllabus which leads to preparing students for the CBSE [New Delhi].

Grades 9 & 10
At this level, students are prepared for board examinations, as per the CBSE curriculum. In addition to a focus on their academic skills, students are also encouraged in a variety of extra curricular activities.

2. English, Work Experience, General Studies and regular P.E. will be compulsory subjects. Islamic Studies will be offered to all Muslim students.
Arabic will be offered as an optional subject after school hours.
3. The options mentioned above will be offered by the school provided a minimum of 20 students opt to study them. This will be strictly followed.
4. The syllabus followed in English in Grades 11 and 12 is that of ‘Core English’ (Code No. 301).
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
- All scholastic and co scholastic records including the rehearsal examinations will be considered at the time of streaming students in to various options.
- Please note that seats will be allotted strictly on the basis of the rank order of those who have met the criteria above on a first come first served basis. Securing the minimum qualifying marks does not imply automatic admission as some subjects have a limited number of seats.
- External students will have to appear for an entrance test in Maths and Science.
Grade 12
Specialist teaching in the Senior Secondary School guides students towards their choices for higher education, and enables them to focus on their eventual career choice.
Students from CBSE appear for the All Indian Senior School Certificate Examination [AISSCE] in the Science or Commerce Stream.

As per the policy of the Ministry of Education, the study of Arabic (for Grades 1 to 10 ) and Islamic Studies (for Muslim students from Grade 1 to 12) is compulsory.
