Hena Hemthilak

Hena has been a part of GEMS Our Own Indian School since 2012, serving as a Senior School Physics teacher. She believes that teaching science without curiosity and exploration is like conducting an experiment without observation. Known for her engaging and concept-based lessons, she inspires analytical thinking and hands-on learning among her students. Her approachable nature and commitment to fostering open communication create a positive and collaborative classroom environment. Hena’s excellence in education was recognized with the Best Teacher’s Award (2016–17) and the Mariamma Varkey Accolade (2020) under the GEMS Teacher Awards. As the CBSE Coordinator, she ensures smooth implementation of CBSE activities, maintaining compliance with board guidelines and promoting academic excellence across the school.
