Neethu Mithun

Primary Science Coordinator

Neethu Mithun started working with GEMS Our Own Indian School in 2021. With extensive teaching experience, she has established herself as a dedicated and innovative Science educator. As a Science and STEAM teacher for the Upper Primary section, Neethu has inspired creativity and engagement among her students through inquiry-based and experiential learning.                                                                                      

In her previous roles, Neethu served as the Innovation Coordinator, leading initiatives that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving through STEAM-based methodologies. She has successfully guided students in Design Thinking projects and was recognized with awards for achieving the highest ASSET results in Science. Her contribution as the PBL Coordinator further highlights her commitment to integrating real-world applications into classroom teaching.                                                                                                    

Neethu holds a Master’s Degree in Physics. During this period, she also presented a research paper titled “Synthesis of SPIONS using Co-Precipitation Technique” at the UGC-sponsored National Seminar on Nanotechnology and Renewable Energy. Her passion for teaching led her to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, along with specialized training in Special Education, reflecting her deep commitment to inclusive and adaptive learning.                                                                                                                      

Currently serving as the Primary Science Coordinator, Neethu strives to make Science engaging and inclusive, inspiring students to think critically, stay curious, and connect their learning to the real world.
